How To Setup Ftp For Google Cloud With Mac

With my current set up I have a Google Cloud compute engine machine running Debian and Plesk 12.5. The hosting, web space (https) etc. However, I am having some issues trying to use FTP. Lame encoder for audacity 2.2.2

All of the Google Cloud Platform instructions seem to be about setting up FTP in other OS like debian, etc. Connection just times out. On the Windows 2012 Server, I have setup FTP in IIS properly, but the firewall will not let me connect from the outside with FileZilla. On the other side of the spectrum is Dragondisk, a free file-transfer manager that supports Amazon S3 and Google Cloud but, oddly enough, not FTP, SFTP or FTPS. The overall design of Dragondisk.

As mentioned in the comments, additional passive ports needed to be opened. In addition to this, Plesk FTP component had to be changed to passive ports. As per the guide found at accessed Add passive port range to config file, load ip_conntrack_ftp module into the system. Make sure that you have the following line in the iptables settings: iptables -A INPUT -m state --state RELATED,ESTABLISHED -j ACCEPT If the server is behind a NAT, the ip_nat_ftp module should also be loaded: # /sbin/modprobe ip_nat_ftp.
