Just Updated Office For The Mac And Multiple Accounts No Longer Under Inbox
I just updated my Office 2011 (Mac) with the new SP2 (14.2.1) version. After updating, I can no longer search for e-mails in any of my in-boxes, sent, received, etc. My e-mails are all there, but will always say 'No Results'. Seems like some sort of indexing problem. I already rebuilt my database and also had spotlight reindex my harddrive and re-started, but no luck.

I upgraded to OSX 10.10.4 yesterday and immediately following it I could no longer send email from my Gmail accounts. I just updated to the latest beta 10.11 Beta (15A262e) and MAIL WILL NOT OPEN AT ALL. It is useless on my iMac right now.
Anyone else having this issue? Any solutions? I can go back to the older version. But I already updated my database, so I doubt I can open my identity with an older version of Office 2011.
Since my database/identity was updated. Some times Spotlight can be stubborn to sync.
Before we start kicking the tires to fix Spotlight, do this test for me first. Make a duplicate first of your Identity in the Finder.
• Click Custom: Install Windows Only. How to run windows 10 update. • Click Next. • Click Drive 0 Partition X: BOOTCAMP. Do not choose anything else. • Click either Windows 10 Pro or Windows 10 Pro based on your preference.
Do the following on your copy. • If you have Exchange and IMAP accounts, delete the accounts so they delete the cache files in Outlook. • Under File > Export select the default action to export all items as.olm file. Save to Desktop.
• Create your new Identity and set it as default. • Import your.olm file. Under File > Import select to import the.olm file • Wait a few minutes then test to see if search is working.** • If yes. Continue the setup: ** You can check in Activity Monitor in Applications/Utilities to see if the mdworker is running. This shows Spotlight is working. When it quits Spotlight search should work.
If not, drag the new Identity into the Spotlight Privacy tab in System Preferences. Wait 2 minutes then remove to force the Identity to re-index.
Move the imported data into the local folders: Your.olm file will show up under an imported folder in the folder list. You'll need to select the messages in the default folders (Inbox, Drafts, Sent, Deleted Items) and move to the local folders. You can drag any custom folder to it's correct location. You can delete the imported folder structure after you move all the messages. You'll also need to move the contacts, events, tasks, notes to their local folders. • Add your Accounts.
See notes below about Exchange and IMAP Inbox. POP Accounts The new Outlook Identity will not know you have downloaded the old messages and will download all again. Before you enter your POP account in Outlook, log into your account with your browser. Move all the older mail out of the Inbox. Outlook only downloads from the Inbox.
Leave only those new messages you have not downloaded. IMAP and EXCHANGE Prune your Inbox. (do this in your browser access to your account) It's best to keep these folders as clean as possible. Archive messages after reading to another folder.
